-	I work on the physiology, evolution, and conservation of crocodilians. My research goals are to understand hybridization from a genetic perspective in two species of Central American crocodiles (//Crocodylus acutus and Crocodylus moreletii//) and to examine its physiological and ecological consequences. By understanding the genotypic and phenotypic responses of hybrid vs. parental fitness, I am to use this research to promote effective conservation strategies, while also filling in some of the knowledge gaps in crocodilian genetics and physiology.
